There’s nothing quite like getting lost in a creative project—whether it’s cutting, gluing, painting, or assembling something beautiful. But as much as I love crafting, one thing I can’t do while I work? Hold a book and read. My hands are busy, my focus is on my project, and trying to follow along with words on a page just isn’t an option. That’s why audiobooks have become my go-to crafting companion!

The Perfect Background for Creativity

I know some people love watching TV shows or movies while they craft, but for me, it’s too distracting. If I look away for too long, I feel like I’m missing something important. But with audiobooks? I can keep my hands busy and still enjoy a great story! My ears do all the work, and my imagination takes care of the rest.

I also love that I can fully immerse myself in a book while crafting—it’s like a double dose of creativity! Whether I’m making a new paper flower bouquet, designing planner stickers, or working on a fun DIY project, having a good audiobook playing in the background makes it even more enjoyable.

Why Audible is My Favorite

If you’re new to audiobooks, Audible is hands down my favorite way to listen. Here’s why:

🎧 A New Book Every Month – With an Audible membership, I get a monthly credit to choose any audiobook I want, which means I’m always adding great books to my library.
📚 Huge Selection – From bestsellers to indie titles, memoirs, thrillers, and cozy feel-good books, Audible has everything.
🎭 Amazing Narrators – A good narrator can really bring a book to life, and Audible has some of the best voice actors and storytellers out there.
🎁 Exclusive Extras & Podcasts – Beyond my monthly book pick, I can also listen to tons of free audiobooks, podcasts, and other exclusive content with my membership.
⏩ Listen Anytime, Anywhere – Whether I’m crafting, driving, relaxing in bed, or even cleaning the house, I can just pop in my earbuds and listen.
More Than Just Crafting Companions

Audiobooks aren’t just great for crafting! I also love listening to them at night when I’m winding down. After a long day of working on projects and too much screen time, my eyes are tired, and reading a book feels impossible. But listening to a book? That I can do.

Plus, I’ve even found that audiobooks make boring tasks way more fun. Folding laundry? Driving errands? Doing dishes? Everything feels better with a great story in the background.
